Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Sri Vaishnavi Varma is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia where she is currently working on the Direct Benefit Transfers for Electricity project in Andhra Pradesh.
Vaishnavi holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the Indian School of Business and Finance, an affiliate centre of the University of London.
