William (Bill) Evans

William Evans is the Keough-Hesburgh Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. His principle research interests are in applied microeconomics and include topics in the economics of education, public finance, and health economics. He is a co-founder of the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities, a research center that partners with local social service agencies to provide evidence-based poverty solutions.
William has served on the review board of J-PAL's Addressing Homelessness and Housing Stability portfolio. He has also lectured at J-PAL training events.
William received a BA in mathematics and economics from Wake Forest University, and an MA and PhD in economics from Duke University.
