Taryn Dinkelman is the Loughrey Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on labor markets and human capital in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), predominantly in Africa. Her work has identified the specific barriers that prevent workers in LMICs from realizing the full value of their labor. Prior to her position at Notre Dame, she held appointments at Dartmouth College and Princeton University.
Taryn has served on J-PAL's King Climate Action Initiative (K-CAI) Review Board.
She received her PhD in economics from the University of Michigan.
