Daniel Carvalho Mendonca
Research Assistant, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Daniel Carvalho Mendonça is a Research Assistant at J-PAL LAC, where he works on the implementation of evaluations studying the use of electronic payment methods by Brazilian micro-entrepreneurs. He is responsible for coordinating activities with Brazilian partner companies, data analysis, and survey implementation. In addition to his role at J-PAL LAC, he serves as a research assistant on government and political science projects for professors at Harvard and University of California – Los Angeles. Prior to joining J-PAL LAC, he worked as a research assistant at the gender research group EconomistAs at the School of Economics, University of São Paulo.
Daniel holds a technical degree in computing, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and is currently completing a master's in economic theory at the University of São Paulo.
