Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.
Our research, policy, and training work is fundamentally better when it is informed by a broad range of perspectives.
Senior Finance Officer, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Marwa Naieem is a Senior Finance and Operations Officer at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa. Marwa works on financial management of multiple large scale awards with international development programs and donor funds, initiate and prepare project transactions in line with allocated budget and ensure that they comply with audits, AUC and sponsor's (MIT/UN/EU/USAID/SFSD) regulations in their financial expenditure and setting the relevant financial processes to effectively monitor and control project transactions for the best interest of the project objectives.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2023, she worked as Senior Finance Officer at the Office of Sponsored Programs-PISU-AUC, handling more than thirty grants.
Marwa holds a BSc in Finance and Accounting from Alexandria University.
