Santosh Kumar Sahoo

Santosh Kumar Sahoo serves as a Survey Coordinator at JPAL South Asia within IFMR and is

stationed in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. In this capacity, Santosh oversees the management of

field surveys, recruits field personnel, provides training, handles project management, leads

the survey team, and offers mentorship. His objective in this role is to strike a harmonious

balance between Research and Research Operations activities. Additionally, he participates

in the internal capacity-building program for Research Operations personnel at J-PAL South

Asia.

He joined J-PAL South Asia in 2012 as a Field Manager and holds a Bachelor’s degree in

Commerce from Banki College, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Prior to this, he worked at the Centre

for Microfinance (CMF) for three years on projects related to Micro-Loans and insecticide-

treated Bed Nets and conducted research on Malaria: Evidence from a Randomized

Controlled Trial in Orissa (India).

Santosh takes pleasure in culinary pursuits and values quality time spent at home during his

leisure hours.
