Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Operations Associate, J-PAL Africa
Yusuf Sibda is a Project Coordinator and Operations Associate at J-PAL Africa. Prior to joining J-PAL, he worked as a lecturer for UCT’s School of Economics and as a program coordinator at the university’s Faculty of Commerce. Yusuf holds an Economics degree from the University of Cape Town, a Financial Planning post-grad diploma, as well as a Post-grad in Business Administration and Management Practice from UCT's Graduate School of Business. He is currently embarking on his MBA journey but when off duty, he can most likely be found in a local coffeeshop.
