Oumar Sory

Oumar Sory is a Senior Policy and Training Associate in the collaboration between J-PAL Europe and ENSEA in Côte d'Ivoire. He facilitates coordination between the MIT, DEDP, and ENSEA teams, organizes training events, and plays a key role in liaising with partners such as the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Development (MEPD) and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, Oumar has worked with organizations like Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), the World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), gaining extensive experience in impact evaluations, policymaking, and the design of training programs. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy from the African School of Economics in Cotonou, Benin, with over three years of professional experience.

Oumar is fluent in French, proficient in English, and has a basic level of Arabic.
