Jack Calland

Jack Calland is a Research Associate at J-PAL Africa, working on projects seeking to better understand and solve the problem of unemployment. He has a BCom in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University Cape Town, with a First-Class Honours in Economics, and an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics & Political Science, awarded in the First Class and with the Prize for Best Performance. Before joining J-PAL, Jack worked as a consultant in the digital public policy and finance sectors in London and Johannesburg.
