Shweta Bhogale
Postdoctoral Fellow, J-PAL Global
Shweta Bhogale is a Postdoctoral Fellow with J-PAL's King Climate Action Initiative (K-CAI) and works closely with the J-PAL South Asia office, as well as Professor Teevrat Garg at UC San Diego. Her research spans groundwater management, agriculture, climate adaptation, impacts of spatial dispersion of population settlements on rural service delivery, and impacts of electrification—especially through renewable energy—on rural development. Shweta holds a PhD from Harvard University in Public Policy, an MA degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University, and a BA in Economics and Statistics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Prior to her PhD, Shweta worked as a Research Assistant at Innovations for Poverty Action.
