India’s central and state governments are gradually shifting toward digital tools to streamline how frontline health workers deliver health services to communities. However, utilizing these new systems to deliver health interventions such as immunization has shown mixed results. How can we bolster these innovations to improve healthcare delivery?

To tackle this question, J-PAL South Asia is organizing the webinar, mHealth Innovations for Child Health Service Delivery: Challenges and Solutions, bringing together researchers, government stakeholders, and donors who will share insights on delivering interventions through mHealth platforms such as the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Online application (ANMOL) and the associated Reproductive and Child Health Database. ANMOL has been developed by the National Health Mission and is now being introduced by several state governments.

Speakers will discuss challenges they faced in implementing child health interventions through these systems, focusing on the experiences of frontline health workers. The session will also cover learnings from providing technical assistance to governments on improving these mHealth platforms.

This webinar will build on three ongoing J-PAL-funded research projects across the states of Bihar, Haryana, and Maharashtra. The webinar is hosted by J-PAL South Asia’s Cash Transfers for Child Health Initiative.
