James Sullivan

James Sullivan is a professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame. His research examines the effectiveness of anti-poverty programs at the national, state, and local level. He also studies the consumption, saving, and borrowing behavior of poor households, and how welfare and tax policy affects the well-being of the poor. His research interests also include data privacy and using administrative data to evaluate programs. He co-founded the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities, which works with service providers to identify effective and replicable solutions to reduce poverty in the United States. James received his PhD from Northwestern University.
