Nikhil Kanakamedala

Nikhil is a Research Manager at J-PAL South Asia where he manages the Tamil Nadu Ageing portfolio which includes an 8-year long Panel Study on Socio-Economic Status of Elderly Population and associated projects to improve physical and mental well-being of elderly under the GoTN – J-PAL SA Institutional Partnership. 

Prior to joining J-PAL in July 2021, Nikhil was an India Fellow and worked with tribal communities to help create sustainable enterprises. He has also worked in corporate and start-up environments for 3+ years prior to that. 

Nikhil holds a post-graduation in public policy design and management from the Indian School of Public Policy, Delhi. His interests lie in the areas of health, social protection and governance.
