Position Overview
We seek a Research Assistant (RA) for an innovative field experiment analyzing labor market dynamics and gender norms in Jordan. The RA will be based at the International Growth Centre in Jordan. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with leading economists on a high-impact project, gaining valuable experience in research implementation, data analysis, and field management.

Key Responsibilities
The RA will support various aspects of the project, including:

Fieldwork management: Training and supervising enumerators, managing surveys, and ensuring data quality.

Survey design and programming: Designing and programming surveys using platforms like SurveyCTO.

Data management and analysis: Cleaning, analyzing, and preparing data for research use.

Project coordination: Ensuring adherence to timelines, protocols, and budgets. Collaborating with the PIs and partner organizations.

Stakeholder engagement: Providing regular updates to PIs and stakeholders, organizing meetings, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related fields (Master’s preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Stata and experience in data cleaning and analysis required. Familiarity with platforms like SurveyCTO and Otree is a plus.

Fieldwork Experience: Prior experience managing field staff in developing country settings is highly desirable.

Organizational Skills: Strong management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

Language Skills: Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
