Replication Research Manager - Lab for Economic Opportunities
- United States of America
Summary of the Organization:
Who we are: The Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame is a research center dedicated to reducing poverty and improving lives in the United States through evidence-based programs and policies.
Where we are going: LEO is launching a new effort to support scale and replication of proven anti-poverty programs connected to our key strategic metric of getting evidence used. It is our goal to make LEO a place where innovative programs that are proven to have positive impact can be packaged and scaled nationally. In order to achieve this goal, LEO is launching a replication and scale unit to drive forward successful scaling of impactful programs. While impact evaluations in the form of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are the heart of our work at LEO, getting evidence used is a key to fulfilling our mission to reduce poverty and improve lives. As with all of LEO’s work, we center this work on our social service provider partners to drive forward their program from serving one community, to serving many. This unit will also work with key “scale partners” to drive forward program packaging, establish funding for each stage of the process and support the operations and infrastructure needed to sustain a network of programs.
Summary of the Role:
Who we need: LEO is looking for a Replication Manager to support this work under the Assistant Director of Replication and Scale. While the groundwork is being laid now for the work of the new unit, there is much to still be built, processes to work out, and timelines to drive towards. The Replication Manager must be able to work on a dynamic, growing team to support the systems, relationships, and processes needed to successfully support scaling proven programs. The Replication Manager must be passionate about solving poverty and committed to “getting scale right” to ensure that our provider partners and our scale partners are supported in achieving the vision of national scale with our leadership.
Responsibilities:
The role of the Replication Manager includes:
- Supporting the packaging of a cohort of proven programs.
- Project managing replication efforts towards the operational timeline the Assistant Director and partners establish.
- Supporting site selection, RFP processes, and other activities related to launching programs in new locations.
- Supporting communication efforts around replication, including articles, grants, and other collateral for stakeholders.
This is a three-year, limited-term position. Contingent on funding, the position may be extended.
Qualifications:
Strong commitment to the missions of Notre Dame and LEO.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to work with nonprofit providers with a sensitivity to those with lived experiences.
Experience working with or at nonprofit organizations preferred.
Ability to work in a rapidly growing environment with a strong culture of performance.
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

Minimum 3 years work experience required.
