Mai Osama
Senior Research Operation Associate, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Mai Osama is a Senior Research Operations Associate at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa where she is currently working on evaluating the impact of improving the quality of nurseries, nutritional interventions on early childhood development and women empowerment in Egypt, in collaboration with Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and evaluating the impact of providing a nursing training program to young women in southern Egypt.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2022, she contributed to the "Job Creation Competition", which analyzed the impact of training, job counseling, and on-the-job training on social and economic outcomes across four governorates in Egypt.
Mai holds a bachelor's degree in French and a diploma in development studies from Minya University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policies and Development Project Evaluation at Assuit University, where she also obtained her Master’s degree in the same field.
