Anchored by a network of more than 1,000 researchers at universities around the world, J-PAL conducts randomized impact evaluations to answer critical questions in the fight against poverty.

Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.
Our research, policy, and training work is fundamentally better when it is informed by a broad range of perspectives.
Project Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Biswaranjan Pradhan is currently working as a Project Associate at J-PAL South Asia in the ‘Flexibility in the Workplace and Contract Choice’ Project. With a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills, he effectively manages projects from initiation to successful completion. He has also previously worked with J-PAL South Asia on multiple projects in the Labour Markets sector from 2015 to 2023.
He is a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with teams to achieve project goals. He has worked with state government partner organizations like OTELP & TISS to ensure data quality and support field planning initiatives. He has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Modern Institute of Technology & Management (MITM).
He has massive field team management skills for the effective implementation of the project.
