Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.
Our research, policy, and training work is fundamentally better when it is informed by a broad range of perspectives.
Project Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Himansu is currently working as a Project Associate on the PAD project which is being conducted in association with the Precision Agriculture for Development (PAD) team, J-PAL and the Government of Odisha. Himansu has also worked on a project named Senior Secondary Readiness Program (SSRP) in 2 districts of Odisha as a project Associate in the year 2019-20.
Previously he has worked in GFK India as a Senior Executive where he worked in multiple projects led the Government of Odisha, Central Gov, the Population council, NACO, UNICEF, NDMA, and IPE global and so on.
Himansu has broad experience in conducting quality control with adequate checks & feedback, monitoring, supervision of the collection of data in different settings, planning project fieldwork flow, staffing recruitment, team handling, motivating teams, effective training to the interviewers & team leads, and material preparation.
He enjoys the process of qualitative data collection and is delighted when the project is completed within the scheduled timelines.
